I was born and raised in eastern Kentucky and lived there for the first 19 years of my life. I met my wife Kim at Youth Haven Bible Camp in Beattyville, KY. She was born and raised in Southern California.

God brought the two of us together through certain events. On June 15th, 1991 we married and shortly after surrendered to the call of the ministry. 

In 1996, I took my first pastorate at Riverview Missionary Baptist Church in Sciotoville, OH. In April 2003 God called me to Etna Baptist Mission Church.
 
My goals as a Christian and pastor are:
1. Glorifying – God with all I do
2. Leading – others to Christ
3. Mentoring – equipping the saints
4. Helping – the hurting
5. Preaching – the whole counsel of God
